Job Description:
Engineering Manager will report to the General Manager - Engineering and the responsibilities include:
- Manage:
- Engineering,
- Product development and
- Engineering process development with help of team
- Take part in product testing
- Interact with Project Engineers based at Houston for requirements
- Interact with Fab shop and Machine shop
- Check Engineering reports
- Check FAT/Pressure Testing/SIT/Load Test Procedures/guidelines
- Guide and Check analysts’ work (FE Models / Results/ checklists)
- Work for constant improvement in product design, working methods to achieve best utilization of resources
- Be familiar with required standards/codes
- Should be able to manage the optimization of a component for given operation/loading conditions to get least weight/cycle time/cost for the component
- Approve time efforts of the team
- Record the efforts in timesheet regularly
- Manage Engineering team including hiring, performance appraisals
- Follow metrics to measure performance of team, have frequent review and act on the outcomes

Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
1.Qualification: ME / MTech/ MS in Mechanical Engineering. – First Class
2.Experience:
- 15-20 Years in Engineering Design and Analysis in a manufacturing setup
- Out of total experience, the candidate SHOULD have Min. 10 years FEA and calculations supervision experience in Subsea/Surface Oil & Gas.
- Knowledge of Mathcad, Solidworks Simulation (Cosmos), Hydraulics, Interaction with class societies (ABS, DNV, API etc.) and experience in Oil and Gas industry (Subsea hardware, Hydraulic Cylinders, Manifolds, UTA, Connectors, X Mas Trees, Reels, Pressure Vessels) would be a definite plus to candidate.
3.Basic Skill set (MUST): Ansys, Ansys Workbench, Analytical Design Calculations, Solidworks 3D, Drawing Reading, MS Office, Bolt Calculations, Weld Calculations, Structural Calculations
4.Person: Should be a Quick Learner, Smart, Flexible, Dedicated and have a Zeal to take ownership and Initiative.
